Ok... now we’re talking...
At least friends of this forum are getting some slight preferential treatment from Joel!
Glad to hear you got some wheels 358.
I am all set personally...
Thanks for the offer though.
What did you get, btw...
Also... how did your cars do?

I never get give aways so I would not say i got special treatment. I have sent to several leauges for a couple years and got a gift maybe 3 times. So no special treatment. Just got lucky.
They are Bsa wheels and called pro stock on the max v website. First person who says they want them can have them. Not that i think they are not worth having though. Just being nice. If nobody wants them i will machine them to a basx wheel or whatever for myself.
My spec truck wiggled every pass amd still finished 2nd or 3rd if u count joel. Not bad considering no testing as all it seen was a tuning board before shipping!
My MA which just set records at johns sucked..,. Compared to what it shoukd have run.

Well I got my cars back today , and after 10 long days journeying across the country, they held up extremely well. They are both in great shape, and only lost about .010 in speed. Even though my cars didn't make it there in time, Joel added in a CVS ribbon. You can't beat that, I really admire the thoughtfulness ! For kicks I added some LIAB to the wheels, and they both ran faster than they ever have ! What is LIAB?

Since my cars didn't make it there in time, I never raced in the event, or payed to race in the event, so I wouldn't expect to be given anything, or win anything. The ribbon means nothing to me, but the thought does.
I must have gotten lucky on the truck build, because I had no trouble whatsoever tuning the truck, or getting it to run straight, which I know some of the other guys struggled with. As it sits right now I think it would have had a good chance of beating Joel's truck, so it sucks it didn't make it there in time.

I did not get anything back except my truck. You would think a little note or something for sending in and supporting his new truck class after not racing for over a year.

Did you race in the CSR, or just the truck spec race? The ribbons were for the CSR. I'm sure they had their hands full with the number of people who sent in, I can only imagine the amount of work it was to send all those cars back.

What oil were you running at John's? X1 I noticed you slowed a couple .001's between prelims and finals, most stayed about the same, and John got a whole bunch faster. I was wondering if it was related to oil choice. I don't know if I've ever seen a top car get .008+ faster between prelims and finals.

Now do you believe my 2018 MOTM story?

Doug, I've always believed you, adding oil to a dry bore can be magical.

It wasn't dry. In fact, Joel had removed wheels put others on and put BBE in each.
It was the extra (thinner would be my guess) that got the speed and lasted thru the next day.
