A Ghost Car is supposed to be clear... I’m pretty sure that is another no brainer. If a fella 3D Prints a Car in white PLA... then he has to be something of a delusional jackass to have the audacity to call it a ghost car... just sayin’.

Looks fantastic!
Is that a solid acrylic body?
That would make one heck of a trophy. You can call it what you want, but to me that is Trophy Car.

Yep... just a solid plank. Clear wheels took a few hours to polish up like that... Wouldn’t mind casting some in clear resin... but I suppose that would yellow a bit.
Hey Peluso! Get the fuck outta here, you goddam moron!
Sorry about that, fellas... my turrets must be acting up again.

Holy smokes!! (No pun intended) That is very impressive. The clear wheels are something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. What she needs now is some diamond axles!

whodathunkit Yo! I know that you are a wizard with the scroll saw... But you are going to have a tough time convincing me that car wasn’t laser cut. Looks great Whoda! Cool idea for the wheels!

Eagle, What I made the wheels from is black translucent acrylic tubing and clear acrylic rods for the centers. Oh" the weight is a big chrome covered steel ball bearing.. I use it on my tuning board. The car was made to show the axles.. so kids would have a better under standing of what canted drilled axles holes looked like in a car body. The wheels are soild.. un-like Joe's clear wheels with the hubs.. I'm running brass spacer bushings with brass brad nails for axles. Thank's Chewy! Joe, So you don't think that I cut the car out on the scroll saw! well if you'll look very close at the pic's.. you'll see that some of my edges in the cut outs are a little frosted and scratched from the cutting! I use ps woods machine super shapes scroll saw blades #7 or a #2 blade for cutting thinner acrylic sheets www.pswood.com/precision-ground-scroll-saw-blades/I also watch a lot scroll saw videos on U-tube.. like this one on cutting acrylic sheets on a scroll saw by Steve Good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YmUm-wa1xI I don't have a laser cutter.. Just a scroll saw.

Ok... now I am even more impressed. You’ve got serious skills... and serious patience. Thank's Joe! As i recall when i first started cutting out acrylics on the scroll saw I had all kinds of problems with melt back from wrong blade types or cutting to fast. I almost forgot about this car.. Until i seen your ghost car which is a kill looking car by the way!! The pic's i shared of the car were some that i took of it back then that were still on my computer! I still have the crazy thing.. well at least some parts of that i found in the shop today. Attachment Deleted

Whoda - Super cool! I'm curious if you have any secrets on drilling the axle holes? There is a lot more to the story, and more "ghost" cars. Take a look at laserman.freeforums.net/thread/567/ghost-carThe car that Joe actually raced, so to me it is the first "ghost" car, is called Krystal Deelite.
