I was feeling pretty good about my builds until I saw those new fenders. Now I'm just pissed that I don't have the programs, equipment and/or access to such fine PWD materials.
Nice! doesn't even come close.
Really liking the new body. Are the ones headed back to me cut this way?
What kind of wood are you using for these?
Did you machine white plastic for inner wheels for looks?
Is the balsa extension to the rear of the car for mounting? or something else?
Are you planning on cutting back to the body there? put a washer and run? something else?
Appearance thought: If mine, and not to heavy I would add another gold strip on the other side of the crystals. I think it would complete your stripe look.

Did you have to notch the lifted wheel side for fender alignment purposes ?

Ember, I started notching both sides lately... A skilled builder advised me to do this along with tapering the nose only downwards.
In fact... the wood car’s body is only the 1.625” wide...
I will answer Eagle’s questions shortly.

Eagle, Thanks pal.
Your bodies are the usual style...
I put a thin acrylic ring inside aero shields that Micro sells. Just to make it pop more visually.
The balsa strips near the rear axle holes are because the car body is only 1.625” wide... I will probably take out the balsa there and do something to fill in there.
The body is cedar.

So, the balsa was glued to the cedar before put into the CNC?
