Ok... Zeeb can take the wind outta our sails by hijacking the Concept Car Challenge... but he will NEVER stifle the God given American spirit of innovation! Hey Zeebzob! Are you listening? Then lean in close to the monitor... because this one is for free... SUCK IT!

That is one sweet looking ride! I have a feeling there is more too it than can be seen from these pics. I've got a car (or more if I get my others back) I'd like to run up against it. When/where are we going to do some head to head testing - learn things?

Good question Eagle.
I’ll tell you this much...
If Zeebzob thinks that he can stomp on our vision and then come begging us to race at Nipwordle and we will take the bait...
Then he is even dumber than he appears!
I’m just gunna come out and say it...
Zeebzob set a great example with his race.
Even in a class where we create the rules... and have final decision on the winner...
It will be hijacked and rigged.
Unless the Illuminati are running the race... it will ALWAYS be rigged.
We should actually be thanking Andy for dispelling any preconceived notions of fairness.
The SoulBoxer Race was merely a test for the league racers... and they performed predictably.

I'm still working on getting a track and location where it can be left set up. I'm sure I can get a location if we need to do larger attendance races.
Not sure who else is in, but whether I get my cars back or not, I'll keep building. So, count me in!
I've got the aforementioned and one more done - just need wheels and axles on the one. And, the same plus body work and paint on the other.
I've drawn an additional radical design that I will build 2 or 3 different ways and see what works.
All will need track time.

looks nice. Are the rear fenders still too wide? Seems like it too me. At least wood is easier to sand then the printed stuff.

Well Micro,
I guess we should ask the man with the wind tunnel if he thinks the fenders are too wide.
because last I checked 2.73” still fits within the rules for the P Dubya D.
Hey Chuy!
Are they too wide?

Are they too wide? I would be interested in seeing how the air flows around them in a wind tunnel. If they are wider than the wheel I would think it would cause more turbulence. I would try and line them up with the outer edge of the tread.

Well... It is my belief (and I think that Chuy concurs with this theory)... That it is better to well clear the wheel with the air and not allow the air to bump up against the wheel at all.
I think that a little extra width is to be preferred over any hang nails for the air to drag on.
With that being said...
I plan on sending one of these designs out to Chuy to put in a side by side Pepsi Challenge against the clear X3 design that you were kind enough to polish up.

Hold the presses. If Chuy is going to test it. He should also see how it compares to Stakes R High and Hot Pink. Heck run it against Live Life.
Maybe I should send the latest design or two as well.
And, I'm in agreement on the air flow. You want it to flow out past. But, you also want the narrowest possible design to do so. That is why the wind tunnel should show valuable info.
Also, Laserman: is the car pictured with or without washers?

Nice car, Joe. Those are pretty similar to the fender design that I've been wanting to make/build/run. It seems like the vast majority of fender designs push the air up over the wheels, or tries to push it down under the wheels. I think this is the way of the future.
You're seeing it here first, kids!

Yep. Your PM to me was a big part of the inspiration for the design. Figuring out how to draw it up was a bit of a bear though. If you are interested in running one of these, then I might have an extra one that I could send your way as a thank you. It is the last one I have until I can cut some more... but you’re worth it!

Not as pretty or as easy as building one of Joe's. But, Joe challenged me. And, I needed something to distract me from all the ridiculous bad luck I've been having. I'm sure Laserman will find something wrong (I'm cool with that), but it won't be adding weight or paint on this one.
