Looking at some of the recent photos and videos I got to wondering what everyone's work area might look like. Post up a few pics or video of your work area, be it the kitchen table with a hand drill, or an industrial type setting with full CNC machines. Let's see where the magic happens ! I have a small room in the basement that I liberated from the wife where we do all of our car assembly, polishing, steer testing etc.....my "clean room" so to speak. I also have a small area in the corner of the basement where I have the typical homeowner grade machines to cut and sand most everything else we need.

Man, good job of shaming me into not showing my workspace anymore LOL. Damn...your video is what gave me the idea,LOL... as well as your photo the other day of your 12v bore prep. It's interesting to see how everyone has a different work set-up and method to their madness. Trust me, my work space does not always look like that ...In fact, once we start our MA build I bet you wouldn't be able to recognize the place !

How do you like that Skill Bandsaw? I have one and I don't like it, The Blade comes off easy.

It's cheap junk honestly.I haven't had the blade come off, but it sure likes to bend while your cutting just about anything.I wouldn't want to use it for anything that required a degree of precision.I have a Skill table saw I like a lot, it's powerful, sturdy, and cuts great.
The HF sander works well,as does the HF lathe. The Proxxon mini mill is perfect for these little cars !

One thing I've discovered is that the included blade is CRAP. I kept waiting for it to break, but finally just replaced it with an Olsen blade. Cuts quite a bit better now. It still isn't great (too much give in the blade, IMO), but I can cut out derby cars without getting too pissed off now.

Yes, the blades are probably the weakest component of the system, they bend and bow and don't stay sharp very long. I sure wouldn't want to use it for anything more than cutting small pieces of pine.

Awww man!
You gotta be kidding me!
That place is so organized it looks like a doctor’s office.
Didn’t know you have a lathe.
Are you into taxidermy as well?
Dope man cave.

Is that micro-finish the same brand as micro-gloss? Branding looks the same. I think the micro finish is 5 micron and micro gloss is 1 micron.
I use a silicone product after that and my bores look great.

Thanks Joe, I would like to think I'm a surgeon while working on our cars. LOL.
I'm not into taxidermy, I was a very serious hunter and target archer for a lot of years. I traveled all over the country hunting everything from Elk in Idaho, to Deer in Texas, Turkeys in South Dakota, wild Boar in the Carolina's, Bear in Virginia, you name it. I was never into it for the blood, in fact slob hunters sicken me. I enjoyed it for the nature aspect, as well as the challenge. I gave it up a few years back, and don't see myself ever getting back into it. Like most things in life, as you age you see things through a different lens than in your youth.

What the heck...nobody wants to post photos of their work area? Well, I don't really have one. Hopefully that'll change after the move.
