Chuy. If you have a two wheel concept I think you should post up some pics, send it to MA, and it will run against the other concepts by themselves. I was just looking for a class that the team could compete with the other cars there. This one looked the closest to what I guessed you and the Laserman were up to. And, since Zeebzob has been totally dark since claiming Alphonso was his, I'm not sure if they are off at some black op site. Or, if the Zeeb isn't really up to the challenge that he jumped into. I jumped into nothing. I was tongue in cheek about claiming Alphonso. You guys wanna challenge me? I think you're forgetting you are addressing a 3 time National Champion. You step into MY arena and build a bearing car!

Eagle, you weren't on the forum back then. Here is a video of the two-wheeler at our council championships.
Here are a couple of videos you can look at.

Zeebzob, This is a concept challenge and you jumped in. If you now want to bow out that is your choice. If you wanted to contribute in the conversation you could have. And, same as Chuy If you have a bearing concept I think you should post up some pics, send it to MA, and it will run against the other concepts by themselves. Just remember it is a concept not a 3 time national champion car with a different paint scheme.
But, if you want to expand you horizons come race us in the class the rest of us are running and see what happens. This is not a win or lose event. This is a new ideas event. But, if we are building for the same class - then we have a race to go with it. So, if you are up to it. You know where the challenge is, what class we will be running, and at least up to now the two other teams you are up against.

Other than my saying Alphonso is all mine...caaaaaaaaan you show me where I agreed to this? I don't find much time to build new cars anymore. I've been in this hobby for ten years, my enthusiasm level is not what it once was. I envy you if yours is at where mine used to be. I am not going to waste time on a concept car if the premise is not about making it faster. (BTW..I have not painted a car in years.) So if its not win or lose, I don't see the point. I am not interested in a participation trophy.

I've gotta run Zeeb. I'll let the others chime in. You are saying you want to build a faster car. So, come race us, expand your horizons, renew your enthusiasm, and have some fun! Or, sit back talk about the good old days of winning and enjoy what you have accomplished.
I am not here to call names, point fingers, or play the who's got the bigger more of or whatever game. I think you have a lot to contribute.
I just think if you are going to jump in, claim a team mate etc you should know what you are jumping into and follow thru.
Saying you will only compete in a particular class would be like me saying lets go to a kart track where I dominated and you run the same kart, same weight, etc against a Grand National Champion. Even without us on the track at the same time just going for times it would be challenging for both of us but it would be an unfair advantage to one of us.
I would like you to come join us in expanding your mind to a different class. PinewoodCNC and I have never competed in such an event. So, the playing field should be in your favor. And, according to the guys on here if you attend as you have in the past, we have no chance. But, if you proxy like everyone else, and from episode 72 that is what it sounds like, then it will clearly be about as equal as you can get.
Your 3 National Championships will not be held against you over here. Jump in, contribute, have some fun! Or do as you have since claiming Alphonso and stay out of the concept challenge. The choice is all yours - No Pressure from me.
PS I truly hope that whatever is going on with the in-laws improves!

Chuy, you said 2 wheel car. Then you post a video of a levitating axle and a 2 car race. Please fill in the blanks. Are you saying your concept only has two wheels and the other side floats? Does the whole car float? Magnets or no, as far as rules for the class, if you have perfected this I say bring it. I would love to see some pics of the body that goes with it.

Look at the middle lane. A very thin two wheel car finishes first.

So, was the video of a true two wheel car or one like the photo? The pictured car has 4 wheels attached to the side.
So, that would be a concept and or a different interpretation of the rules. Some would call it a cheater car. I would say if it didn't strictly prohibit what was done that the winner was truly innovative.
I have seen the same and similar designs. But, I haven't seen a pinewood size magnetic video like the one you posted.

Yes, but only two touch the ground to abide by the pack/district/council rules.

Yeah Chuy! I am dying to see that two wheeler on the track! Get that thing ready and I bet Greg Dawes or DD would be happy to run them together as well.

If I read the rules right they have done away with the ability to do a car that style by rewriting the rules to say wheels must be straight across from each other etc. But, for the concept challenge it is perfect. Zeeb wants to see faster. This idea should definitely be faster. I have thought of ideas like this, but, there is no local racing for such a thing. I think that innovative ideas breed innovative ideas. So, if I ran a league I would likely start a class for 2 wheelers. Even if it didn't last or few participated it would get people thinking.
I unexpectedly won the first car show I entered. I only stayed for the awards to see if the cars I picked one. They did. As I went back to my seat an old timer leaned over and said something I will never forget. "You know the best cars right?" Me thinking that there was no correct answer waited in that awkward silence for him to follow up with,"It's the ones that make people ask questions." He finished with,"Everything else is just a different paint job, motor, chrome, etc"
Maybe, for another big event we should all build a 2 wheeler!
