Does anyone know how much of an advantage (time wise) someone has applying D1 type oil while at the event, opposed to sending in a car with a typical Krytox concoction ?
I'm sure there are numerous others who also do not attend, but have friends who are, and have them apply their D1 oil. It seems anyone not attending is at a slight disadvantage, more so for oil than graphite classes.

There will be four buttons to open the shipping box... Three of these same buttons that realease the lid will simultaneously drop D1 on the business end of things and press in the axles.

I think i remember hearing the MA is an impound race, trying to get more of an even playing field for in-person vs proxy. I could have that wrong though. Didn't one of the live racers get DQ'ed last year because he got caught re-applying oil? I remember hearing that on a The Ballwasher zob podcast.
edit: LM, is z e e b z o b a censored word now? It automatically changed it to "The Ballwasher" when I typed "Z_e_e_b"

I try to be progressive and nimble.

How about hollow axles that have a small reservoir of D1. A micro hole in the high side of the axle will let oil out into the bore if you turn the car upside down, while the car is in its normal upright position the oil stays in the reservoir.

Yo. That is where the wheel rides on...
Nah... just like feeler gages wedged in all the right places...
You pull that lid off like a rip cord and the feeler gages wet the axle at both ends through capillary action.

Bores never touch the high side of the axle while racing or sitting on the wheels.
Another idea....car full of moisture absorbing silica gel...take car out of sealed container at start of race it weighs 5 ounces....by the end of the race it weighs 5.5 ounces.

The old spongey nose trick added to the dash of silica. the sponge will spread after tech in to give an extra 1/8” of height on the ramp.

Well done Joey P......we now have a car with a leaking bladder that sOILs itself, a car that gains weight every time you let it out, and a car with a pituitary problem that keeps growing. This car is going to need some serious freaking counseling!.....or should I say council..ing.
Unfortunately, its ailments don't end there,it has also been diagnosed with SLWS...an insidious disease know as Self Lightening Wheel Syndrome. Yes, the wheels were born such that after inspection and during the first race, the outer area of the wheel separates from a thin inner area, leaving only a razor style wheel, most say it reminds them of a bowl separating from a lid.....I've seen it first hand, it's quite sad, and usually brings a tear to those unfortunate enough to witness it.

Of all the things listed SLWS looks to be the most likely to be DQ'd.
