Send it out to me. I will get it all dressed up for show! I might not send it back though. I'd like to send it in to race too, a showstopper winner for sure. I was going to suggest the same thing. Definitely do this bro!! This thing is so sick Professor Moriarty ! Hey Scott, Skywalker RacingThose Nipwordle fellas love you... How about you put in the good word for me to get me back into the forum. (Especially since it was your fault that I got booted.) 😀

Ok. Here are a couple of photos of my 'Ghost' car body. It's name is Casper. It's a BASX car body. I think that Joe and I should race for pink slips. We should race in a BASX class because it would be easier to modify Joe's to BASX than mine to SS. Attachments:

I will be sanding the body and top (not pictured ... coming soon) Smooth On makes a great epoxy coating that can be sanded and polished but it will add unnecessary weight to the car.

Lmao!!! @ Ember Looks awesome Al! I will have to think about the pinks race though. Been thinking more about this Ghost Car and the way to go is to cut right through for the voids... then buff... then cut a cover from 1/32 or 1/16” clear so that it sits flush with the body. I tossed a couple of Ghost cars into the laser to cut out the voids...

Alphonso, What filament is that? PETG?
Also, will that trip the sensor at the finish gate?

Just thought again though... for a BASX car... might as well laser cut the whole thing. I say cut through and add clear covers only because I am far too lazy to buff out that cavity with a Dremel tool. How is that Smooth On? Does it come out a little yellowish or is it clear like acrylic?

I heard Joe's car is made with pre 2009 plastics.

Good question DVG. What type of filament is that? So hold on... you pour the smooth on right on top and it fills the the area and makes it all clear?

I heard Joe's car is made with pre 2009 plastics. Seems right... Been dragging around that block of 1.25" thick acrylic, every time I move my workshop, for about 10 years.

The Smooth On stuff is great and it's clear like acrylic. Here is a link to the product link

If it is PLA, try to find some MEK or Chloroform, those should smooth it without adding weight. I think it works similar to acetone for ABS.
