I just received a set of these. Wow! I'm super impressed. These look sweet! I can't wait to build a car with them. Thanks for making them available. Strong work! Thanks Jason! I’m glad you like them. So far I have only printed them on my home printer but I know that Shapeways prints them lighter. Do you know what they weigh? Thanks again, Joe I just had a chance to get them off the tree they come attached on. The weight is 7.66 grams. I’ll let y’all know what I sand them down to.

Hi Nate,
Long time no see.
Thanks!
I hope to have more wheelbase options available by the weekend.
Best, Joe

Hey Professor! I just ordered a set of the X4- Mr.B Fenders. Not sure if I will make a Box Stock car, or a Street Stock car. Maybe a Street Pro even.

I received my Mr.B fenders today, I have to say I am very impressed !.... I'm not sure I would change a thing about them. The FDW sweep is perfect, the wheel radius is perfect, the width is perfect. I'm not sure about the wheelbase fit, as I have not mounted them, but placing them on a car the fit looks great.I plan on drilling the wheelbase to fit the fenders, not try to fit the fenders to the wheelbase, that way I can have any gap I choose. I like how the dominate side trailing fender has a covered front, I'm sure Joe anticipated folks having different angle front dominate wheels , so if the angle is off a bit, air cannot enter the fender, there is also plenty of material to sand them down a touch for a perfect fit. The non dominate side trailing fender sweeps back perfectly from 0* to 3*...nicely done. They don't' weigh as much as I thought they would, yes they are heavier than Balsa, but are also more durable and much easier to install. All and all these are great looking fenders, and I fully expect them to perform great. A lot of thought went into their design and it shows, I recently bought a pair of Joe's Valkaries and also like them, but these are at a whole different level ! You're going to see a lot of these on serious Scout cars, and I suspect even a few competitive league cars. Well done Sir ! Attachments:

So they are heavier than a couple other options. The DD fenders are lighter, but when installed have a gap between the trailing fenders and the rear fenders. To be honest, one of our fastest cars has these fenders, it goes straight with less steer than any other car we have, I'm not certain if it's from a perfect drill job, or if the fenders have anything to do with it, but they perform great on that car. The DE full fender Balsa kit fenders are unfinished, but I would expect them to weigh at least 3g when shaped and sealed with CA. I'm not a big fan of Balsa fenders on Scout cars due to the beating they usually endure, however,Balsa is a proven performer when done right. We've only made one car with Balsa fenders, and of course they got chipped up after bouncing around on an uneven stop strip. Never again will I have Balsa at Scout level events. I expect the Mr.B fenders to be competitive with all types of fenders, perhaps even superior to many...only time and testing will tell. Attachments:

I wonder how the "tube top" version compares, when sealed with clear tape/plastic.
