Some racers are of the opinion that a perfect balance on the two back wheels is slower than a tiny offset. Here is a car design I came up with and is being run by a number of top 10 Pros now. The amount of offset to the Non- dom side is considered perfect.

TXChemist, those weights look sexy. I don't understand, the weight seems biased to the right, why is that wheel lighter? I am assuming the rightt side is the dominant front wheel?

Chuy, Yes, DFW is on right. Quite a few track records (NPWDRL) were set with this set up. These two weights came in at 4.2 oz and replaced the previous 25 cubes with only 24 cubes in volume using 99.95% very costly tungsten. Since this product came out it has been copied, but using cheaper alloy. That makes building easier, but will be the same speed as with old cubes and I doubt will set any records.

I guess what I don't understand is if the weight is closer to the right rear wheel, why is the left rear wheel heavier.
I've been looking at your weights on Ebay for a while, looks like a good system. I had reached out to a few suppliers for similar tungsten (99.95%) plates but I would have to buy a kg to make it worthwhile and I don't need that much.

What you do not see in the photo is the third contact point of the DFW on another scale- a lot of racers do not want to show how light they run the DFW. When you make a 3 wheeler, you get a triangle with the 3 wheels, if the COG is close to the center of the car, it comes close to the side of the triangle between DFW on the right and Left Back Wheel, with very little weight on the other back wheel. so the weight was WAY heavier to the left before I slid the back weight closer to the Right back wheel.

This forum is only recently hearing of your weight being offered on EBay! Did Gary Russo strike again? To be fair though... Micro has been cutting some pure stuff for a few of us for awhile now....from a slab he bought. He didn’t even charge me for the two favorite chunks of tungsten in my possession... because I am such a special fella to him.

Micro was good enough to taper the edge of one of those prized tungsten chunks... So I felt compelled to sink it into the legendary car Fnord. Behold!

This thread gives me hope that this car might be fast if I ever send it in. But the wheel gaps are terrible. I need to cut these fenders off and do them over.

Yeah... I suppose that perfection always has some limitations...
Ya know...
Like those hemophiliac royals?
Seems like shifting cubes may get a little tricky with the perfect system.

What might the perfect system look like?
Well... that one is easy!
It is the system that Hurricrane is pushing that month!
everybody knows that there is only one way to build a car...
exactly the way that Hurricrane builds em!
We should not strive beyond those levels of perfection...
It is quite pointless to try.

I have had it out with some of the Pros since July, was in the process of a deal when I got word it was being copied. But it is a cheap knock off, and I will have an equally cheap knock off of my own to sell on ebay as the semi-pro version along with my pro. Pro is 99.95% and costly, semi-pro is 95% and about half the price. The only real advantage is the 99.95% stuff other than easier assembly

I can practically smell the foul stench of Gary Russo’s greasy Guinea hands all over this fresh slap in the face!
Have no fear TX!
The Pinewood Illuminati will redouble our efforts to drag that dirtbag’s name through the mud for this new offense!
This type of treatment will not stand!
