Even at $12, that's a good price. Volume shipping would drop it more, no? (Yes. It's me. Hey, fellas!) Micro: why would you say 1.5" is too long? 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.25 is the size of the 12 cubes we put behind the axle. Has there been a big change in PWD physics in the last 6 months? ***************** Heh. Been so damn long I forgot that there might be 5 pages after the one I was replying to...

So, the first statement is correct. It would be harder to start and stop the motion of the higher moment of inertia (weight to the outside). The second statement, it is opposite. The same force or energy would cause smaller and slower oscillation in the system with a higher moment of inertia. Assuming that Z axis is vertical, X axis is parallel to the track lane, and Y axis is perpendicular to the track lane:
OK, because the direction of the wobble is actually side to side (moving + or - in the Y axis as the car tries to rotate about it's COM), not in rotation (the Z axis tips left and right like a tight rope walker would experience) how does having the weight on a pinpoint dead in the center or spread wider affect the oscillation?
Wiggles my ass... we all know the “pros” stopped using the Cub Weights because those that make the rules decide which products sell. The Cub Weights were designed for the modern BSA wheel... a pre 2009 hub won’t fit! So it is no surprise that the pros found more speed without the Cub Weights... because they are using the anchor to wheels to exploit the loophole in the 2g rules! bur there is still BASX you say? Nope... “no aero modifications of any kind” in those rules. Fat Wheel Unlimited? “No aero modifications of any kind” So where does that leave Cub Weights in league racing? Squeezed out of the winner circle they once occupied by rules with loopholes that favor certain products over others. Pfft... it is all rigged.

Box Stock and Governors. I am looking at building a Governors car with Cub Weights and a aero rear, but I don’t think I will be able to use full cub weights for the 2.0 oz limit.

Don’t bother for Governor... you can use old wheels for those. You cannot even get points for Box Stock... but that is what I am reduced to I guess.

Better yet! I run the new wheels and a hump like TRE telling me that my Cub Weights are junk because I am slow... then TX Chemist will step up and chime in that his weights are the best. Yep... A whole lot of incentive to race SS. Box Stock is the only class where my weights stand on a level playing field... but as Mojo puts it... that isn’t a real man’s class... and he is sorta right! There is no pro class in Box stock! It is the red headed step child that the top tier guys look their noses down at.
If there were a boxstock at Nationals I would run it... pfft... total bullshit.

Oh, and BR asked me to add that the guys that were faster than him with the Puma weights on were faster than him when they weren't running Puma weights so it's likely it wasn't the weights that made them fast. Ya know... Call me old fashioned... but if a guy is afraid to let his buddies know that he is chatting with a pal on another forum... I think it speaks volumes of his character.
