I like that this "icantdrive55" dude has registered on both the NPWDRL forum and PDO and made the exact same post on each board, in praise of JBD's PWD workshop program. Of course, it's his only post ever, on each board respectively. Surely he did this on his own, with no such prompting at all. Though, I sort of wonder...if he didn't exist on the boards until now...how'd he find out about the workshop?

He joined both boards on the same day: April 27. 3 minutes between posts. And JBD responded to both ICD55 posts 3 minutes apart. Something seems a little < )><.

Every time somebody on the podcast mentions talking to somebody in person, they're always like "...great guy!" Everybody can't be great guys, c'mon now.
Maybe I should aspire have encounters so that next time somebody goes on Zeeb's podcast they can be all like, "I spoke to Vitamin K in person...man, that dude is a DICK!"

lol. It is kinda cheesy; you're right. But it's true; they are really nice guys to me. Maybe its because its pinewood derby? People probably less inclined to be so gushy in the "your momma jokes" hobby. It also feels like a sort of a natural thing to say in that situation. I'd probably have said it about any of you guys had your names come up. Another thing that always seems superfluous, but I fell into it too, is the exchange of pleasantries at the beginning of a radio interview...or especially a call-in show. The caller always asks the host how he's doing even though he just heard the 700 callers in front of him ask the same question and KNOWS the guy is doing just fine. lol

Debating on Pinewood Derby Forums be like... Example:Me: Your claim regarding what I said is false, and I would challenge you to cite the post where you think I said it. Them: What, do we need to have a college degree now just to write posts? lololololol

Me: no... but a fourth grade reading and comprehension level certainly helps.
Stick and move baby... always stick and move.

Hmmm, probably a good thing that some of us don't own 3D printers...

Hmm. I don't watch South Park, but I wonder if this has anything to do with the reason that John changed up the name and formulation of his wheel bore wax. I'd have a hard time reaching for a bottle of Red Rocket now...

No shade thrown on Joel, but I notice he's got a new "winner's track" section, so that cars can get photographed on the track without risking a rear-end pileup. Apparently he cut up his test track in order to build it. Why not just...cut a board and attach some wooden strips to it to serve as a "track section" to have the cars sit on it while they get their beauty shots? You could spray paint it something cool if you wanted to. And then send the test track to a trackless hodad like yours truly. Oh well. Solves the traffic problems at least.
