very cool. Question. Why is the DFW rear showing heavier than the NDFW rear? What am I misunderstanding? Our cars were always lighter on the DFW side rear. Even when we tried to balance the weight side to side in the rear it was hard to get them equal and keep a light DFW.

Let's get our terms correct... because the PI doesn't play that NDRW game... There is the DFW or front wheel.. There is the raised wheel... and then there are the rear wheels... We assume that the person is using a right front wheel... if the fella is a lefty then everyone just flip it in their minds. Like we say in our meetings: "There is the right side of the car (where the front wheel is)... And then there is the wrong side of the car." So... we have the right rear wheel, and the left rear wheel... Easy as Pi. This car was meant for the Guinness track. In this photo, I believe that a Cub Weight has already been installed on the right rear.

OK, what is a cub weight? I'm so far behind. There would be no way I could get those rear wheel weight numbers with a car that thin.

Very interesting and clever packaging. Can you get the covers off neatly to reuse them? At last yr's NSC race I saw a couple appear to get light off the transition and they all had those weights. That 13.24 grams on your front wheel as shown above, is that what it would race at? We weren't skilled enough to cut a body light enough to allow us to get that low. Does it require a ton of steer?

Ya know... If the welcoming committee at some of these leagues weren't a bunch of pricks, pressuring fellas to send in... then I might actually consider gracing a league track with a work of art... but in my present mood... I doubt that day will ever come again.

If the welcoming committee at some of these leagues weren't a bunch of pricks, pressuring fellas to send in... then I might actually consider gracing a league track with a work of art... but in my present mood... I doubt that day will ever come again. That was kinda my experience with PDDR. They just come across as jerks. I wanted to race w/ APR, but they wound up blowing me off because of my questions and suggestions w/o actually having submitted. I tried to get them to correct their rules; things like "4 axles & wheels must be installed in the wheel-weld area" make no literal sense. That, and their directory structure is only a little tiny bit more logical than here. But to parrot K, what is the brass bit? It looks much like BSB's "engines".

Yeah... Somebody has to straighten this place out over here.
This mish -mash of posts makes it difficult for even me to find stuff around here.
Unfortunately... Organization is one of my more prominent fatal flaws.
Yeah... This is something that I had printed in steel and then plated with brass.
I think that it could offer a good look for the car and it weighs in at about 25g...

Another cool thread. Noticed that pics on scale front wheel has no axle. Makes me wonder if you were getting an accurate reading.

Eagle you're finding a lot of old cool threads that either I've never read or enjoyed rereading
