Well… it took some time to convince Claudia that if she opened this package there wouldn’t be vermin springing out at her.

Might have been a little faster with MA wheels, but I didn't want to mess with it. Considering we were up against DWS, and he did switch out his wheels, I think it was the best we were going to do.
I have no idea how he did the swaps in a hotel room and was able to get the cars set up for the next morning.

He brought a spindle sander and drill press into the hotel room! Let’s just say that the smell of Jigaloo was thick in the hallway of the hotel that night. I mention this not to diminish your Herculean efforts, Eagle, but more just to relay a humorous topical story.

Oh I can invision that. We'll have to swap some night before race stories.
But, what did Dan bring with him? How did he get the steer set?
I mean I could build engines and set things with gauges back to where they were. Adjusting air pressures and settings etc from a set of notes I get. But, to remove the wheels and axles, install smaller, get set up again, redo weight.... and then set an unbelievable track record with graphite. Maybe I'm the only one who was amazed.

And, that doesn't even factor in the differences in wheel size, possible clearance issues, ....

I really need to go back and see which cars he ran both days. I'm guessing he had a graphite car all set to go for Sat.I would also like to know which lane was the fastest on the 6 lane.

The far left lane of the 6 lane track was fastest, seemed the same for the 4 lane.

I believe SWS ran Navajo in the open graphite division, his other cars Viking/lemon twist ran oil.

oobigfish that all sounds correct. Do you by chance know what the second fastest or order by color of fastest to slowest on the 6 lane.
I know DWS ran Lemon Twist and at least one other car (I think it was 2) on Fri in SS and then switched wheels and ran in MA on Sat.
I was too busy behind the 6 lane camera and other things to really get to follow much of anything on the 4 lane.

If I recall correctly, black was the 2nd fastest lane and was second from the left of the 6 lane. The right side lanes were sluggish.

Congratulations!
Definitely shows the normal size of the class.
The 7th place trophy is bigger and more grandiose then the 1st place Big Rig trophies. (It is about the size of the 2nd place red one you pictured).
Just curious (you can email me or PM me if you prefer) what did your ridiculously oversize box cost to ship to you?

He slapped on the prepaid label for the small box and they delivered it?
I wonder if USPS charged my account. I’ll investigate and let you know.
