1.75" diameter. The poplar had a little tearout, but on a better wood I think this will come out really nice...  |

Super Cool! I was just thinking about something like this for the top of a car night before last. I even contemplated something like this with some colored packaging tape on the bottom of it with an LED under it.
I'm a ways from being able to do myself. But, I'm super happy to see that it is doable.
My next thought was incorporate this as the centerpiece of some really cool (maybe Egyptian) design.
