What are your thoughts on SLA? I was considering it due to smaller minimum wall requirements and higher resolution. Do they make desktop SLA printers? It’s difficult to prototype without having full access to a machine. If you have to send out for 3D prints it’s a real challenge to make a good prototype.

I owned a Formlab 1+ SLA printer for a while, but I traded it. A decent little machine. What’s the bed size? Is it big enough to print a car? Just barely big enough, but the Form 2 has a bigger bed size. It prints with a somewhat heavy material but it will print in clear.

Shapeways also prints using SLA on a variety of machines... including the Form 2.
The nylon fenders on the Imaginarium are printed using an SLA printer that uses powder.
There isn’t much difference in prepping the files for a desktop SLA other than taking the extra step to triangulate the mesh.

Hey Joe how is your car coming along? Since the Race is 1 week from this coming Friday it would be wise to mail it in on this coming Saturday which leaves you roughly 2.5 days to finish the build.
