At our first pack event of the year we have a campfire at a site by the Mississippi River. The forecast for the day was not that great. I got to the site early to set up and the weather was looking up. People were arriving. Kids were throwing a football around. We were just about to get started and all of a sudden a kid comes running screaming. I look and see the kid covered in bees. I have never seen so many on someone before. A huge swarm was stinging many people some multiple times. Needless to say that meeting was over before it started as people were running to their cars. Our sales suffered as a result.
What happened is the kids throwing a football around and one went to get it and stepped in a ground beehive. We tried to move to were our cars were, but they followed us. Somehow I didn't get stung, when the kid was right by me and is dad was swatting them away. They were crawling under his clothes! Many kids were screaming and crying so hard snot was oozing out of their nose. I felt terrible and helpless.
Well, We will look for a new site for next year as I don't think that the kids will want to go back there.

Sounds brutal. You sure those were bees and not yellowjackets? No, to me a thing that flies and stings and is yellow is a bee. I lump them all into one group. I don't group or recognize them according to gender, species or genus.

Like to build nests in old timbers and attack folks just walking past.

I stepped onto a bees nest as a child... Might have been yellow jackets...
They flew into my clothes and even my underwear...
I got stung a couple dozen times that day.
My mother was swatting at them and tearing my clothes off...
To the cop neighbor, it looked like she was giving me a beatdown. LOL
So... she had some splaining to do.

What kind of world do we live in when an NYC mom can't beat the hell out of her kid without questions?

Thanks for pointing me here. I'm not sure about the Popsicle thing. Based on recently acquired knowledge I have to ask: Are you straight drilling and then using bent axles? If canting the rears, wouldn't adding the spacers significantly change the height thereby changing where the fronts need to be drilled to be correct?

Straight axles, canted. And, no, I hadn't really spent any time thinking about the fact that the widened rear was also lowering it. Now that you've got me thinking about it... For each popsicle stick width (1/16"), you would need to lower your drill by 0.00327" (x= 1/16" * tan(3°)). That is slightly less than the thickness of a sheet of paper. So, no, still not going to spend much time thinking about it.
