Is that sail car intended to use the air to ride the rail? It looks like there may be too much angle on it — that it would function a little too much as a parachute. I could be mis-seeing that, though.

I could be mis-seeing that, though. Yes and yes. It is not tuned. The sail is loose, but it will maintain a hard angle due to the weight system and tight wheel base. Around a 8:8 equivalent with the wheels running dead zero toe, zero steer. Probably said too much but isnt that the point....should be on the box stock videos for April box stock division....Npw hoping for interesting times......we'll see.

The third pic shows the gap keel in place.....the second shows a better fender profile, and the first shows the weight ballasting and pocket cuts.

Okay, I see the car a lot better now. In the very first pic of it, I was seeing it backwards (the front as the back). Really interested to see/hear how it runs.

Hi Chuck,
We need a photo of that hunny with a black background. It is really tough to make out the sail.
You should put some red/pink permanent marker on the edge of the clear... it adds a lot of flavor like that...IMO

Here are some updated pics....I highlighted the two sails with red marker. The inner sail was scuffed to translucent. The under pic shows the rail keel. The top pic shows the required center staging mark and some of the aero mods are visible on the leading edges of the tear drop fenders. The wheels have been bore prepped and polished to stock race ready and rejexed and cured. The axles are polished yhrough 3k, sealed with jig a loo and cured. +1 week to date. The stock crimps have been maintained and are installed rears withh the three crimp up, the dfw three crimp is down in alignment with the nose adjustment bend. On a personal note...I really like this car. Preliminary test tell me there is alot of speed here. Is it a game changer? I don't know. But it is definitely scratching my unique car itch.
