Ok fellas, Let's just slow it down for one second here... This forum was joined this very day... by a present day legend and a future myth. A man who needs no introduction... The veritable Don King of PWD events... The hardest working man in the hobby... Greg Dawes!Normally, I would ask for a quick comment from Greg but I am sure that he is quite busy this week. This is going to be a once in a lifetime fellas... Drone view on a 2000' track! Ohhhhh sweetness!

Really looking forward to seeing y'alls cars run down that long track. I think Greg said there would be drone camera footage too?
MB: Those micro-cubes are a hoot!

Here is a look at my Guinness Car and an under the hood look at the use of Mini cubes. Looking good pal! Those mini cubes are cute as a button. What did you name her?

That photo is one that I took from the North Shore by Silver Bay. So the car name is "Silver Bay". I was having a hard time trying to find a name. So that along with the multi-color fenders are the best I could do. Would look better if I was able to sand off all of the dark brown color from the precut fenders. The wood ones were gifts from Evolution from the Midamerica race. The Printed ones are from your store Joe. It looks like I stole your design for your Guinness car. I even used a Puma cub weight on the the right rear. Greg said to have about an ounce on the DFW. Looks like I managed to get a little over that. He posted that after I already shipped mine to Paul.

Looks like we both stumbled upon the same formula. Cub weight and trailing rear fenders... Maybe they will put us on the track head to head! Yeah... a little more time spent breaking the edges of the fenders would have finished the look nicely. I managed to get about 40g of weight on my DFW I am looking forward to this race! Best of luck, and thanks for sharing the photos. Joe

Did this car end up racing? I want to know more. How did it do? How thin is that chassis? Is that why you chose plates to weight with? What's the screw for? what's the acrylic thing in the first picture?

LOL. Again, Sorry Joe. Skywalker...your putting salt on wounds. Am I? Sorry about that. Honestly, I've just been browsing the boards and came back across this thread. Lot of cool things going on in that build that I was genuinely curious about. I'll say no more

davetHi Dave, This thread details the build a bit. If you or a friend have a table saw, then this is a good way to slice down a pine block.

I don't know if my blade has dulled or what, but when I cut a block like that, it scorched the wood and filled my garage with smoke. It was crazy how my saw had trouble with that 7" block.
