Hey Andy,
Any chance you could put that poll on your forum to see if I can be un-banned?
I would like to chime in on that "Alternate Steering" thread.
Thanks, Joe

Gentlemen!
I am very pleased to announce...
Just 20 hours after airing Episode #54 of the Zeebzob Podcast, it has already surpassed the most number of downloads in a single day!
Great job Andy!

I think that I will need to take the baton and do my Edith Bunker impression on the podcast if you don't step up Nate.
Get back in the ballgame fella!

So I don't have any cnc stuff yet. All manual routing for me. Auto correct messed with my original post I meant to say pocketnc not pocketing. Unfortunately most solutions a little expensive for hobby stuff I would want to do. After seeing some designs such as this corvette at www.derbytalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8129&sid=775ac3f9dc3dfd4b4a00496170e2c4b5 I did a bunch of research but never got further than that. pocketnc looks great if you need 5 axis but the baseplate is small so would not work for some projects. Think it could work great for cars though.

The $449 is much more limited but also simpler to design for. Could be a good option as a starting point for testing. There are plenty of other hobby ones out there as well.

I wonder if there is a service like Shapeways for 5 axis CNC? A fella that deals more with furniture was talking about these guys. www.inventables.com/technologies/x-carveAnother fella was talking ShopBot. I have not had the time to look at either. Doubt they are 5 axis.
